Our club had a great turnout at the Rotary District 5330 Foundation Dinner, joining fellow Rotarians from across the district to celebrate the incredible impact of the Rotary Foundation. Thank You to RCC’s Nursing Program! 
Riverside East Rotary had a wonderful visit with the Riverside City College School of Nursing! A big thank you to Dean Tammy Vant Hul and the entire RCC team for hosting us and giving us an inside look at their impressive Nursing program including the “Nursing Simulation Lab”. Our members enjoyed learning more about the program and had plenty of great questions answered by the RCC staff.
We’re also proud to support their innovative comfort dog program, where dogs are trained to detect cortisol levels and provide support. Our club presented a $500 check to help as they get this new initiative off the ground.

This weekend, members of Riverside East Rotary joined forces with the Rotary Club of Riverside to help keep our city beautiful! Together, we rolled up our sleeves and cleaned up Brockton Avenue between University and 14th Street — an area adopted through the Keep Riverside Clean and Beautiful program.
It was great to see Rotarians working side by side to make a visible difference in our community. Thank you to everyone who came out and lent a hand: your service helps keep Riverside shining!

Our club had a great time welcoming Jeff Van Wagenen, CEO of the County of Riverside, as our guest speaker. Jeff gave an engaging talk — and added some extra fun by showing up dressed as Chris Farley!

This past weekend our club was busy! Riverside East Rotarians had the chance to serve in two great community events:
We supported the Riverside Citrus Classic Bike Ride, benefiting the Riverside Education Enrichment Foundation (REEF). Our club helped staff the Toyota Rest Stop on Jefferson Street, keeping riders hydrated and encouraged along the route.
We also joined forces with the Riverside Art Museum to help set up for ARToberfest. Thank you to everyone who lent a hand setting up tables on the rooftop and getting things ready for the event.

Today Riverside East Rotary had the honor of hosting our very own District 5330 Governor, Nyron McLean! He gave an inspirational speech on “Unleashing the Power of Rotary” in our clubs and district. A fellow Riversider, Nyron first got involved with Rotary through his work in Haiti after the earthquake in 2010. His program covered his history with Rotary, how Rotary can increase it’s impact by providing an outstanding level of service to fellow members, and some of the exciting developments underway in the District.

We were honored to host Councilman Philip Falcone and Jennifer Mermilliod for a special presentation on Riverside City Hall 50: Building a City Beautiful. Their insights into the architecture, history, and evolution of our city’s seat of government brought the story of our civic identity to life.
We were also joined by Elisa Lopez and Amanda Pitchford, who shared exciting details about the upcoming ARToberfest — a fall fundraiser at the Riverside Art Museum combining art, live music, food, craft beer & wine, and interactive art stations
