About Our Club

Riverside East Rotary Club was founded in 1987 as the 23,000th Rotary Club in the World.  Today there are more than 34,000 Clubs.  What makes Riverside East Rotary special?  Read on…

Riverside East Rotary is Friendly

Though the youngest of the Rotary Clubs in Riverside, Riverside East is the largest.  We are growing because we pride ourselves on being a “fun” club that gets things done.  Good fellowship is key to to the success of a club.  We meet every Wednesday morning at 7:00am at at the brand new Bank of America Diversity Center located at the Civil Rights Institute of Inland Southern California.   This is just across from the Main Library in Downtown Riverside at 3933 Mission Inn Avenue.  One of the most important aspects of Rotary membership is attendance because that means involvement.  Riverside East is consistently the top club in attendance in our Rotary district.

Wednesday Morning Breakfast

Club members enjoy breakfast and have a guest speaker every week.  Good natured “fines” are paid by the members in recognition of accomplishments or milestones in their lives.  The financial commitment is just one of the ways that Rotarians serve their community and the world.

Service Above Self

Rotary’s motto “Service Above Self” is what Riverside East is all about.  From our annual Christmas party at the Community Settlement Association, where lunch is served and Santa Claus gives presents to about 100 children who otherwise may not have a merry Christmas, to our annual participation at the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards camp, there are ample opportunities for Riverside East Rotarians to serve.

Riverside East sponsors Interact Clubs at North, Martin Luther King, and Lincoln High Schools.  Interact is a Rotary service club for high school age youth.  Riverside East provides scholarships for graduating seniors based on their total involvement in Interact service projects.

Whether doing hands-on service, or financially supporting many community organizations and worthwhile projects in Riverside, the Riverside East Rotary Club makes a difference in the community.
