Richard Lemire, District Governor Elect

July 30, 2025 by admin No Comments

Today we were honored to hear from our very own Richard Lemire, who shared his journey toward becoming District Governor for Rotary District 5330.

Richard spoke about what it takes to step into this leadership role, his plans for the upcoming year, and the broader mission and structure of our district. It was a great opportunity to gain insight into the work happening beyond our club and the impact Rotary continues to have at a district level.

We also enjoyed a rendition of God Bless America on the trumpet by Dave, and Dennis shared his story about exchanging club banners with a Rotary club in India.

Project Food

July 23, 2025 by admin No Comments
On Wednesday evening, Riverside East Rotary helped Project Food to serve meals and distribute clothing to some of the most vulnerable in our community.
Project Food, a program of First Congregational Church of Riverside, has been serving hot meals every Wednesday since 1984—providing food, dignity, and care in a welcoming environment.
Special thanks to Christopher Cox for organizing this effort, and to Stan Fry, Dan Smith, Dave Shull, Tom Evans, and Matt Goatcher for volunteering their time to make a difference.
More information about Project Food can be found on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/110130809077002

Club Assembly

July 2, 2025 by admin No Comments
Gary was able to maintain order for his first meeting despite promises of increased fines and lots of travel. He may need to find a Sergeant-at-Arms soon though to help keep things in line.
We were honored to welcome Francis Reyes as the newest member of Riverside East Rotary. She was officially inducted by President Gary Christmas, District Governor-Elect Richard Lemire, Executive Assistant Governor Cal Boothby, and Assistant Governor Matt Goatcher. Recently joined member Susan Freeman also received her official badge—welcome to both!
We also exchanged club banners with our friends from Redlands and held a Club Assembly to discuss plans and goals for the year ahead. It’s shaping up to be an exciting Rotary year!
